Troubleshooting: Strange Emitters Showing Up Below Character And Actual Emitters

Using Swipe directional control for the character I have particles following it in all directions, left, right, down, up. These emitters with the directions work as intended, however for some reason there seems to be duplicating emitters below the characters. I'm not sure where these are coming from or why they are showing up. any ideas?

zoom out of the animation window there must be an emitter somewhere there that you need to delete
