Hi guys, I have just finished my first BB game. I have tested it on Android, it works well. I am now want to test it on my iOS Device. I have Xcode in my Mac. I had readed the guides to make the .ipa file of my game from Xcode. Do I need a Apple Dev Account for testing my game on my iOS Device ( iPhone 4s ) Thank you guys. Waiting for replies.......
...However, you do not need to pay $99 for that... http://9to5mac.com/2015/06/10/xcode...ownload-build-and-sideload-ios-apps-for-free/
When you do the File -> Export -> iOS it will ask you where to put that. It asks a name for an export folder. Lets say you have a game named Jumpy. Assume you have a folder called Projects where you put Jumpy.bbdoc. You can then use an export name Jumpy so that you will see a folder "Jumpy" right next to your Jumpy.bbdoc. Double click on Projects/Jumpy/ios/PTPlayer.xcodeproj to open it in xcode...
@trudnai I have done that correctly. I have opened the Xcode project. I created and selected my account in the ' Team '. But it says 'No provisioning profiles found '. And I plugged my iOS device to my Mac. But it doesn't show my iOS device in the devices section. Please, help me.
Yes, but when I click that , it says "The 'In-App Purchase' feature is only available to users enrolled in Apple Developer Program. Please visit https://developer.apple.com/programs/ to enroll." And after that also, it still shows , " No profisioning profiles found ".
Ah I see, yes, that makes sense. Turn that off for the testing then. You need a Dev license if you want to publish your app anyways, but if your publisher is doing that maybe they can compile it and sign your app -- I guess that depends on the publisher...
@trudnai Ha.... It now shows my iOS device. But, when I connect, it says, " Could not send a message to the device "
So you selected your device from the top left and hit Run and it says that? Can you send a screenshot?
You DO NOT need to have the 99 dollar version to get xcode, You can use dev tools and test your ipa without paying the 99 dollar fee as long as you are jailbroken
Actually you do not need to jailbrake, Apple recently made changes for the better: You just need to register yourself as a developer to test your code on any iOS devices.
