I want to add some animated behavior to my character in one of the scenes. The only way I think it could be done, is by adding another same character but with the special animation in the particular scene. So, with that in my mind: 1. Am I thinking right ? 2. If yes, how do I switch between the characters ? Thanks in advance.
use gameplay action and in advanced option added your edited animation and set it to character replace single play or looped
Think it like that... You have a set of animations with your basic character THEN you could expand it as @wesam_badr mentioned using an "action": so, if your character collides with it or you associate a particular button / key (think of a special move) then you could overlay OR replace your character animation with the animation you have set in your action. The one thing you need to consider is that IF you replace the character with the action it might not "coincide" . Example : you have 2 characters - male and female. If you do a flat out replace and you set a "male" action this will show up on your female character... and it's not what you are looking for.
