Is there a way to show that the invincibility on a character is just about to fade out? Example - blinking at the end or something of that sorts? Thank you, karalee
AndyG the Action Animation is "single play, or looped" you would have to have impeccable timing and lots of keyframes to time it just right to have the animation = duration, wouldn't you? I don't use invincibility because it doesn't seem to give the player a warning when it's about to end. I haven't seen invincibility used in any popular build box games. Jeppack joyride has an interesting take on invincibility, you get a different power up and it lasts until you get hit once and then you have a second to brace for not being invincible
yep. you need to use blank png's at the end of the animation to 'hide' the loop until its cleared the scene. As an example I am using Invincibility with a 5-second countdown animation replacing the game character and as mentioned blank png's at the end. For sure there is a bit of messing around to get the timing right. Im also experimenting with an animation which has a trailing tail that gets shorter as the duration of the Invincibility expires. Again blank png's at the end to ensure the loop doesn't restart before the scene has cleared the view. Hopefully the looping issue will be fixed in a future BB release.
Aha!! Our games mostly do have invincibility ... The invincibility "power-up" is not meant to be simply used... Most Boxers here are very smart in terms of creating games and we only use what we need to make a game a good one... Not just for the sake of putting it in
