Changing Lanes

What would be the best way to have the player changes lanes such as in this game (lane racer):



I was thinking it might be doable with paths but I don't think its possible to use swipe to move a player from one path to another?

Any advice on how I would accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

Would like to know as well. Ive seen some BB games do this type of thing so i know theres a way. anyone?

One way to execute this is spawning collision objects with opposite rotations infront of the constantly moving characters with an action button.
Ex:

(Make sure to also play with the Friction, Velocity Drag, and Air Drag)
The size of the object will determine how high or low you go to the next lane
