I love how the length of jump is controlled... this is an interesting mechanic because, even though I've seen jump length increased by holding a touch, it is so exaggerated in this game, it's like a whole new aspect I haven't seen...
ya you got a winner here... the location of the play button and the ad placement is working nicely, I've already accidentally clicked on 5 ads cuz I want to get back in the game...not to mention its a great game.. period... really like this...
I'm loving what I see so far. Are there any other promo codes left for this one? Would really like to try this one out.
So what's the timing on these ads? I have clicked through like 37 of them because they are so few and far between I forgot they even exist and I'm spamming the play button and ending up on the App Store...LOTS... it's super effective... 9 deaths? 12? It seems to change... And who are you using?
Okay having watched the video I really get the urge to play(so good job for that ) I really love the retro/ pixel graphics and music. And the last thing with the barrel "deal with it" was really funny and a nice touch
Golden wings! GOLDEN WINGS!! So... I gotta tell you... I have been in a debate with myself about whether or not I like pixel art games for a few different reasons... This game has made up my mind... THIS is the game... This game just defined my "pixel art bar"... There's no music and I love that! Is this a design choice or are you updating it with music? Honestly I like not having to start a song over and over and over... Unlike Microgee, most games do that and it's just grating, especially if it's a busy tune.... I like hearing the boiling lava and the sounds in this game... Just awesome... So spot on early sound engine emulation... I'm just embarrassing myself now... I'm gushing over this game... It's inspiring!
@DeadlySeriousMedia That lava is really amazing. Did you use just logic or multiple png images? Because doesn't too much logic and images in a scene lag in older devices?
HA HA! Thanks! Glad you like it! We had a lot of fun with this title and I think it shows. LOL! Thanks for your support. Put a lot of effort into the pixel art so I'm glad it's really a selling point. No music was a design choice on this one because we felt like the feeling of a cave should remain and music would have been overbearing. The lava is like 4 frames of animation on top and a solid orange square for the bottom. This way the images aren't so big.
