The results are in for our sports game jam sponsored by Rogue Games! We had some really awesome sports-themed entries from crazy golf to swamp skiing and fun soccer battles. Both our team and Rogue Games were impressed by all of the creative games submitted from the BB community. If you haven’t seen the judging session with Rogue’s team, you can watch it right here.

Our Sports-Themed Game Jam Recap
This was our first sponsored game jam with Rogue Games, and it featured the ultimate game jam prize — a potential publishing deal! The theme was sports, and the bonus challenge was to create a sport that doesn’t already exist. Developers were able to really get creative, and it showed in the entries. For this jam, we decided to only have 10 winners in total. The first-place winner will receive a 2-hour publishing summit with Rogue Games, written detailed game design feedback, official Buildbox Swag Bag, and a Rogue Games Swag Bag along with a chance to land a publishing deal. The 2-hour Publishing Summit is a video conference with Rogue Games’ studio team and live Q&A. The winner will be able to get tips, recommendations, feedback on their game and have a discussion on gameplay and possible opportunities. We’re so psyched to have this as part of the prize package this time around!
The second and third place runners up will receive the same prizes with a shot at landing a publishing deal with Rogue Games, except for the 2-hour publishing summit. The 4th through 10th place winners will all receive official Swag Bags from Buildbox and Rogue Games, and of course, bragging rights. 😉
We’re proud to have so many talented no-code creators in our Buildbox community. Thanks so much to everyone who participated. If you didn’t get a chance to join in, don’t worry. We will have another game jam very soon. So stay tuned for that announcement!

next time, Please actually show the games more than 3 seconds… and lose the dubsteb bs, and the over-editing, or maybe just do everything differently?
