Which Icon?

Hi all. It would be great to get some feedback on icon design for Trump vs Zombies. 3 options. Thanks!

 

personally i don't like any of them, no offence meant.
When i saw your first image in the game showcase. i was like wow, that looks awesome.
These ones look like every other one in the App Store.
So why not use the color and style as your first image you shared, as that really grabbed my attention. These ones don't.
Maybe recreate something like that.

I don't like the fourth at all. I would use the third but Trump with a gun in the hand like the second. Adjust the colors to your game. But not as crunchy like the fourth. Just my personal opinion.

 

Also. With my game I noticed that the VS thing isn't the best decision title wise. Have you thought of changing it to something like: Trump Zombies? It's like Trump the man (as well as the zombies of Trump) but also the verb trump which would be very nice.

It's kinda too late to take it really. I was lucky to get Trump vs Zombies due to how difficult it can be to name an app on iTunes.

The icon needs to stand out and I am not sure if 4 will do that. But it does reflect the gritty nature of the game even though its cartoony! lol

 

Hey Spicedbeans, make sure you to check out your icons in their small format as viewed on a phone. It's not the large version that is going to be viewed first off and you want it to be as simple to understand at first glance.

 

Just playing a little with both styles. Perhaps it spreads some more ideas.

Also, what is the best size icon to use in Buildbox? 256x256 or 192x192 etc?

 

Not really sure, I have been using 512x512, for icon.

 

That one, maybe character a bit left more, so more flame from gun is visible.
Not sure, i hate making icons, too many choices and a very big decision. Wrong one can cost downloads.

For best resolution use a 1024x1024 pixel icon. You will need one anyway for iTunesConnect.

 

Is that the same size to use inside Buildbox as an icon?

 

Yea it is.
It doesn't add to atlases, so is all good to go large.
