Is it possible in Buildbox to make transitions between screens "fade" instead of just change immediately to the new screen?
I mean for example when you press Play, instead of immediately changing the screen to the Gameplay screen it turns dark and comes back again but un Gameplay screen?

In BB2 you could use the Open and Close events in the UI editor to "animate" the opacity.

I honestly think these features should have a tutorial or at least a clear explanation in the manual for users. This is one feature I still cannot figure out as much as I understand how to animate the menu.

Andy, how can we use the Open and Close function? Do we have to put images?

No, You already have the images in the Editor. Just click Open, then click record. Go to the first frame set opacity of an element to 0. Go to the last frame and set opacity of 1. Then your element will fade in. You can expand on this and create all kinds of animated effects. Watch minutes 4-8 or the BB2 walkthrough.

Thanks Andy! So if i want everything to fade out and fade in when i change UI i should configure EVERY single image on the UI scene right? Or is it an option to just set everythinf fade out and fade in at once for every UI change?

What i did was in photoshop just create a black canvas. Put it in the UI as an image (covering the whole screen) and set it to autohide in 0.25 seconds and it fades quite nicely
