    Hey guys!

    *Edit:
Decided to make this a thread on the development of this. Not sure where this is going or if it will be remotely successful, but will be adding on to this project for practice and community ideas. ;)

I've been experimenting with some gameplay and wanted your opinion on what direction you think would work/look better,

The game is a one tap to change character direction and rotation.

    Example 1:

    Following Player Camera

    Example 2:
    Static Ascending Camera

Would love your thoughts because I've been pondering this for a bit

    Looks cool!
I like example 1 definitely best!
Did you make this in Buildbox 3?

How did you export the different character animations?

    I think I’m leaning more towards example 1 too @Wapps1 :)

This was all done in 2.3.2!

Wow. I am guessing you're using AUTO TILT to get the character to turn like that? And advance moves? I like the follow cam myself.

I could use this functionality for a space game i have where you explore the entire solar system. My ship rotates all wierd. So i made it just stay flat straight...its a round ship so its a work around. Anyways, I already could tell you that this could be made into a super sweet seek and find adventure game. No scenes....just one big massive map. Maybe a gun.

I was thinking maybe adding a gun. Maybe one side of the screen to shoot and other to rotate. That could get interesting

I wish buildbox had native AI man!

great looking gameplay you can use fence enemies so the character doesn't go anywhere, what control you are using.

Make it a hide n seek game. Level ends when you find 5 objects. OOooooooooohhhh make it a Time Jumper game! You start off in dinosaur days days. Collect 5 orbs and it warps you into the future. Now youre in like....jesus days lol....then modern....seeking through a city. Then future.

    Thank you @wesam_badr!
Its kinda complicated but using transform logic to rotate the player and advance moves with a switch button move an object that holds the transform logic to switch between left and right rotation. Sorta complicated like I said lol

Maybe. Could also make a Metal Gear Solid style game...bad guys walking...patrolling....if you get [hit] their flashlight area you're "caught". Reach end goal, move to new level.

Awesome stuff man. This is really cool.

I like example 1 if it was a hide and seek style game, but if it was an endless style game, maybe you could speed the camera up a bit in example 2 and just have the map the width of the screen then you would have to keep switching to collect coins and miss trees.

Make it a minecraft style game. Collect say...over 20 types of objects...dirt...metal etc. All are ACTIONS for 1...5 coins. It ads to your "Resources" at top...Then when they collect enough, they can spend it on a new LEVEL. one level has a house built. Another one, more expensive, has a castle. garden....etc. Make it so they slowly just unlock levels making it appear as if they used their resources to UPGRADE and BUILD their world.

    Thank you @AaroArts!

I do think if this was a smaller endless game camera two might be more practical. I could always combine both though. That could get interesting

Hey, im game. Im an artist too so it could be beneficial. Make a full on comic book for promotional purpose...also serves as good STORY scenes.

    aghh you freaking beast

both are great in their own way, I wouldn't ditch any of them, IMO you should do two games with this, love them both, tons of potential.
