In my Bombs Away game, I have a world which you can unlock through an IAP. As seen via the 3rd button down from the left, on the Game Menu. The Restore button is located in the Settings, seen right. I recently upgraded to an iPhone 7+ and of course, re-downloaded/installed my games. I had previously purchased the Pirate World, but when I came to restore purchase from the settings, the World didn't become unlocked, and the Icon stayed the same. I had to manually press the button and was prompted with "You have already made this purchase, redownload for free?" etc. So, I was able to download it free, but I thought a restore purchase button should auto-restore? ie. Change the Icon (from locked to unlocked) and make available? Or is what happened correct? If so, what is the point in the Restore button if Apple prompts you anyway? Thanks everyone
Hi @Sam_Aaro, did you ever find a solution to this issue? I'm having an identical problem which threatens to ruin the monetisation strategy for my game. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello. No unfortunately I didn't I ended up leaving the button there (because you need it for the app to be approved), and just depend on iOS to prompt the user that a purchase under that ID has already been made, should they press the buy-button again.
