Hello Boxers! First of all I would like to thank the developers for creating Buildbox. I have always wanted to develop a game but nothing really materialised because of different factors. Because of Buildbox, I was finally able to produce and design a game. Cheers to all Boxers in this forum who contributed their knowledge and experience using the software. It really helped beginners like me get familiarised with the ins and outs of Buildbox. After many sleepless nights here we go: How to play: - Earn points by moving your cube up to reach the gold score line. - To move up, decide between the glowing platforms either on the left or the right. - Your cube's colour will change depending on which glowing platform you land. - A platform of the same colour will allow you to pass through, which will either make you fall and start over or reach the next platform and keep playing. I would appreciate your feedback on this. Would love it if you download, play or review https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/left-right-decide!/id1097562699?ls=1&mt=8 - Made using Buildbox 1.3.5
I downloaded your game, looks good could be addictive, Did you use an avoidance preset? Good luck with it.
Thanks @jbross. I believe it was the Jumping preset that I used and then customised it to get the gravity and the bounce right.
I have uploaded a video of the gameplay for those who are curious. I managed to get 35 points. Yay! Blocks get crazy when you reach 30.
For the score line, I used an action with the coin property. I just played with the action animation adding small segments of the image to get the breaking effect.
I appreciate the answers, explain to me please about the process of getting the game on the app store please. I really need help here. Thanks
This is not an easy process (for me anyway.) There is a ton of info on the internet - surprise! For example, here is a random YouTube video regarding setting up itunesconnect. or one about uploading from xcode... OR: You can pay someone to do it for you! http://granjur.com/appsubmission/ Good luck!
Thanks! I used Garageband for the music, I mixed and selected Apple loops to get the mood I wanted for the game. Oh and I have to adjust the tempo so that the beat almost matches the bounce of the character
I never heard of these softwares. I've always used FL Studio to make my EDM music. I should try these ones too!
