HI boxers, i cant code myself so i am looking someone else who can make a simple but effective node or Smart asset where i will able to set gradient color for cube or any 3d shape from Editor /inspector. and it will be more nice if someone can add glow feature in it? i know this image is little crazy but i am 100% sure we can design such beauty in buildbox 3d @NikRudenko @ZackGriset
I can give you a link: https://marmoset.co/hexels/ and https://marmoset.co/hexels/learn/ for tutorials. I'm quite sure that the image from your example was made with Hexels. And if you want to recreate that in NodeBox then I think you need to use Javascript, but maybe someone else has a better idea.
@Laylon That looks good. I'm assuming this is an image from Magica Voxel. Isn't it a bit of a painful process to actually get a PNG texture out to use in BB?
The PNG is automatically exported with the OBJ but I see what OP means with the colours. theres a BIG difference when it goes into buildbox
@Laylon Could you share your Voxel file? I might have a play with it. I had a good article on steps but as I'm a useless artist I only had their example to work with. Be interesting to see if it works in a more general sense, even if it is long winded.
I think we can create a glow effect inside bb3, will have to piece it bit by bit I think Yeah sure, there you go :https://mega.nz/#!VfxxBCwR!BIvOeM7Ek0qx6BdR0-d9hLQqlLkEZdNTkHx8kVMLz20
So in magicavoxel that gradient mainly looks like a light is effecting it which lights will be in on release. In order to just say hey I want to slap a perfect gradient between these two colors on any object inside of BB3 I think at the moment is impossible for us because that would need invovling shaders which bb3 I think doesn't have in it just yet. At least non we could go into and create to our liking.
