What do you guys do when a player reaches the end of your BB games?

I noticed Phases has an endless mode, but it seems like users were confused by this and kept playing to try and complete it… not ideal as they get annoyed when they found out it was "un-completable".

    Thoughts and ideas welcome.

I would look at popular games that have endings and see what methods they employ. You could have credits roll like NES games, or you could have some sort of congratulations text with SFX. I haven't made a game with an ending but I would def research a lot of hit titles who do and see what they do if it were me.

I guess it's more about what we can do within the limitation of BB.

Ideally I'd put some end text in the game and have some special FX going on in the BG. I guess I could also put a button on screen that returns them to the main menu.

BB can probably handle all this, so I guess I'm good to go…

    Dan,
there is an end screen option to do just this, we have it in a couple of our games - We've added text like - Well done, more to come, please rate if you've enjoyed / want to see more levels etc

You can create a custom scene along with adding some music :)

Yes, best option is use the End Game action and have titles or some ending text. We did not have this option with Phases because it was built on alpha build of BB.

I believe players love endless games because they can compete to see who can achieve the highest score. If I were to create a end, I would create the biggest Easter Egg ever! Referencing a bunch of my Favorite Games and such!

Hello , my name is Gustavo I do not know speak or write English, I live in Brazil and I have to use Google translator! Best jeitor finishing his game would be when the person arrived in the end she would have a button that would lead to congratulating site to have wounded at the end!

Just add a Menu UI and link to it using a menu jump

The event observer and menu jumps have made the end game action obsolete.

    @Andy, @andre_sprs,

Thanks you both for commenting out my thoughts. Am I in the right path? Please, see the attachment.

It works this way when user touch a flag with menu jump over it. He then is redirected to the main menu. I wanted to use in the final level when player finish the game. The only thing I'm not so convinced is the fact of how to inform the user prior he touchs the flag. Use an user text perhaps?

    What you guys think?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

You can create a new Menu UI and link the menu jump to that one first. Then customize the Menu UI (e.g Add text that says congrats you have finished the game...blah..blah!) Then add a continue button that links to your main menu.
