Buildbox 3.3.8 Beta Build #4166 Is Here

Hey there Creators!

We know we missed the mark on a few issues with the 3.3.7 Update and we're working fervently on an update to resolve some cardinal issues (ahem, folders). We know the latest update has brought some pain to the community so we wanted to illicit some feedback on the current update in progress.

If you find an issues If you find any bugs or licensing issues please send them into support@buildbox.com or submit the issues HERE with all pertinent details ASAP so we can get them documented and corrected. We stress again please let us know as soon as you can

Fixed Issues:
- System.fps() no longer crashes Buildbox
- Dragging an asset to a group folder now correctly places the asset in that folder.
- Fixed an issue that was hiding group folders in the asset panel.
- TIP: If an asset or group folder does not appear in the Asset panel, add another asset from the Asset Library to refresh the folder list.

As is with any Beta release please ensure making a backup of any important projects prior to opening and saving them in the new build.

Will this update have the new Admob SDK when released?

 

i noticed that project files get corrupted way more often than the previous releases , ive only dealth with one through a whole year but with 3.3.7 it happens 2 / 3 times a week

Guys you don't need the bbdocs for the above issues they are caused by out of memory exceptions an dmemory leacks. It happens randomly while developing the game

There is a bug in the latest versions regarding transparent objects.
Both 3.3.7 and this new 3.3.8 version
I used to use Shadeless with Alpha Premultiplied blending to achieve semi transparent objects. But now the turn black in the fog.
the further they are in the fog the blacker they get
Now Alpha Premultiplied blending doesn't behave much differently than Alpha Non Premultiplied.

Unfortunately that is not possible at this time

 

I'm sure there are issues but in my opinion this update is a mayor improvement!

 

Not sure about beta 3.3.8 but I currently have one project in 3.3.7 where I have the interstitial ad frequency set to 5. When I get game over the ad always pops up like as if I have the ad frequency set to 1. I am using IronSource ads.

 

It looks like the joystick is not functioning correctly. If I create a 3d project/first person/free roam with joystick controls the joystick does not function.

 

Investigating this currently
