How To Move Character Like Slip Away

how to move character like this ?


any example ?

 

I'm guessing here but...

1.In your game UI create 2 character buttons move left and right
2. Under character make your X move about 30....make your Y about 30ish
3. Make gravity about 20ish or so

So when left button pushed it will move 30 to left...and jump 5-10 up in relation to gravity (offset).......slow fall. Same for right move.

I feel that would do it. Anyone ?

 

when i press button to go left or right it does not move left or right , have i done any mistake ?

 

Try making max force... (30) and (35-40) with gravity set to about 30

I think I didn't explain myself so well...here is a simple bbdoc with a few settings.....look at the UI and the character settings

@INKY I have been testing a new build based on your sample above. For some reason, the character will not move left/right (only up) with the attached configuration (when clicking on the screen). Works fine with keyboard arrows. Any thoughts?

 

uncheck block touch through on all of them, even if bottom layer, because they get finicky, that big one is jump, right?

 

Also I see you "jump" button is a move up function. Try making it a jump button.
