Hey everyone, I'm still building my first platformer level and decided to test on my device (Huawei P20 Pro) The game is quite slow in how I intended it to be. Are there any tips to optimise tiles etc?? Thanks
Hi, there has been some report of optimization issues with some Android phones when casting shadows. For now, I would recommend removing shadows from characters & objects.
I didn't notice a great deal difference. I built a game off a template, I tried nearly everything I could but as I was only on the first level with 3 scenes I decided to start a fresh start with nothing. I added bit by bit with small tiles, my phone test is now 100% better so far. Things I tried : No shadows Remove unused code/nodes Optimised Atlases Made sure my tiles were small (36x36)
