Just wondering if anyone has had success selling games on the Windows app store. I am talking about for desktop PCs and not the windows phone. Is it worth the extra hassle? I read an article recently about an indie making $1,000 a day from a game on the Windows store. I don't have a PC so don't know if it would be worth getting one to take that step.
Hey, no need to have a PC. With Parallels you can. Game DARTHY, is posted on Steam. https://www.buildbox.com/portfolio/darthy/ http://store.steampowered.com/app/404850/ I recommend all platforms if possible, but to start is best in IOS and Android.
I think @dmmcmah the Windows market is now primarily download via Steam as @jcalle alluded too. Unless your a big name studio (and the marketing budget associated) I can't imagine much success on the Windows store. You would need profiled via Microsoft themselves or have luck with a marketing/social media/advertising campaign to have good numbers from that platform. But as you mentioned someone's done well so I'd love to read that article if you have a link: 'an indie making $1,000 a day from a game on the Windows store'
