I have a game for kids. There are a fish (character) and a House. A kid should drag the fish and drop on the house. Direct movement. Works great. But I want my fish to swim around by itself (a circle or a line) before the kid grabs it. How can I achieve that?
Well, I can use the animation, but the fish swims far (half of the screen) and at the moment of dragging it - it will continue to move under my finger, which is strange. =)
@KidApp have you tried using the transform logic to move the fish from point A to point B? I am not in the computer at the moment but I can try later at home to see if it actually works.
you should use joystick for grabbing the fish and moving. and in advanced component set it to collide with an invisible object . which you place on the left of screen and right of screen. set left object to move 20 and right object to -20, for example.
You make advance move to a character when he collides with a wall he will receive for example Multiply -1 movement and it will set in backwards
I don't get =) Could you please tell me more about this? Advanced component for what? For a character? Advanced move?
@KidApp and what if you connect an invisible object to the character and try it? as I said before I am not at home so I cannot test it right now. But I believe it can be achieved.
@Benfont I have different levels and my Character jumps there with a Checkpoint action, so it is impossible to link it to an object on a new level.
@meremy I Got it! =) Good idea, but unfortunately my character is under the joystick control. So it doesn't move by itself. And I can not apply any force: gravity, or Velocity/Air drug because of it. So the question is "How can I make my Character move by itself under a Direct Movement control? =))))))
hey @KidApp I have been trying to find a solution to your problem and I am afraid that there is none. If you have the direct movement option ticked and using the joystick I believe there is no way of moving the character apart from using the joystick. What if you try moving the background objects instead? to create the illusion the fish is moving.. this is just an idea. Sorry I couldn't help in the end, good luck with your game, Cheers Jonathan
Hey, @Benfont , thank you soooo much for your effort, I really appreciate that! Year, there is no solution for my question. I ended up by putting some decoration fish to swim around.
