Haha such a small detail yet changes everything. cant believe i made several complete games and never paid attention to that....thanks again.
@nthen778 Honestly I start my imagining a fun and simple game, say, angry birds style pops into my head. Then I work backwards through the mechanics and make sure bb will allow it. Then when I hit a snag, I try to figure out a way to get around it. In the angry birds case, it would be in launching your character up to have them fall and smash through objects. So I figure that out, then start designing. Like right now...maze game....screen doesn't move..but you move your dot through Huge maze..can I do it? Yup. Now design lol. I always think of the game I would want to make first, then work backwards and see if there's any snags that will stop me. The only other way is I start drawing characters or backgrounds. Then ideas just drop in.
Ha Ha! Very soon! I just added a few new powerups and features to Juke. My dev sent me a test build two weeks ago. I learned that powerups really slow down the game. I really wanted to take a year and learn everything about Buildbox, and what I will show everyone soon will be amazing!!!!!
@VectologyGames Great stuff man! What tutorials did you watch when you were first learning Buildbox? Obviously you have a great approach. Was most of this built through trial & error? Thanks man!
I love your visual effects but I'm not sure about the gameplay. It is difficult to understand it fully by only looking at the video. It seems that it's hard to understand the enemies and their behavior... would love to beta test.
Are you talking about the "jumpscare" monsters? The appear out of nowhere and give you one second to move out the way. I added an alert system to this build (see below)
