Interesting article about the app sliter.io on the WSJ some might find useful. Says its making $100k a day. Also has the stat that an app makes about 1 cent for every ad impression, something that looks pretty accurate to me. So you can consider that when thinking about freemium apps. http://www.wsj.com/articles/as-slither-io-goes-viral-games-creator-scrambles-to-keep-up-1466195058
I don't have a subscription. Is there another way to read the article? Update: I just found a way. Paste the link (wsj.com/articles/as-slither-io-goes-viral-games-creator-scrambles-to-keep-up-1466195058) in Google and click on the first search result. The article will come up completely instead of only the first paragraph.
Just look it up. Ive read a bunch of articles showing close to the same numbers. Thing is you cannot keep revenue a secret. From apps or youtube revenue.
It is all about stats... Applying the right maths you can predict pretty accurate download numbers and then from that income. Just tap "s" in the search term in AppStore and Google Play and you will immediately see slightio... impressive SEO if you ask me! From that I tend to believe that numbers are looking good for them...
A cent for impression???? Look at this revmob table, i can't understand this numbers, being really low, far away 1 cent for impression.
Revmob used to be good in the early days, I was making $4k a month with it from an entertainment app. But 2 years later it was hardly paying out anything. Chartboost works a lot better for me now.
