Hello, I'm needing a bit of help... I am trying to find a way to tap/press an object and having it be destroyed. I would greatly appreciate any help.
You can do a workaround that would make this possible if you were to tap anywhere on the screen, but to tap specifically on the enemy to destroy it is not possible in Buildbox (yet)
Would it be possible if, the destructible object was only destructible when at a certain point? Think guitar hero... the notes comes streaming down screen and can only be interacted with when within a designated area. This is essentially what I want to achieve.
Again, it's not that i want to be able to destroy the "enemy" anywhere on the screen... only at specified locations. So if the enemy enters a certain area, i want to be able to 'tap' and have it be destroyed.
Maybe you could use invisible char bullet, or even the character himself, just make sure you have big numbers on jump force/movement.
ok, then I was wrong then, it's possible, but , depending on the game style you had in mind... unless you can tweak @brakewind723 's technique to work in a free roaming game like a platformer or something, it isn't supported as a native feature
Has anyone found a solution to making a tap game? Maybe someone just found how to tap on screen and it lets you perform an action to an object? Thanks.
I haven't tested this but could try shrinking the game frame settings to limit interaction to a portion of the screen. Then create an invisible player that would interact with (enemy, object, etc) whatever you're trying to tap. Set the object to destroy on collide.
