Man, Im so proud of you! Well done again! We are almost ready to launch our first game and I have major butterflies, finding it hard to sleep at night now too. You are my inspiration!
Yep, your game is a inspiration to many people and to me. The reason buildbox is used so much(by me as well) is because I want a game as well that is played and enjoyed by many
Good luck for your next game. I do have one question - was there a reason why you and your publisher didn't clamp down on the clones? Personally, unless a clone improved or added some value (different game play, characters or something else), I fail to see the point of why someone would download a cloned version - but there's many on Google Play and Amazon
Good job man. It really is a great game! But there must be some kind of mistake in level 70 of break. Its impossible to reach the lines so as to break them. Hope you can fix that
I remember seeing an update yesterday saying some levels were fixed, maybe that's one of them, not sure
New here.. I use to program in xCode but moved to BB for most things now. I'm 18 years old. Just wanted to say congratulations to @Machine Rises, Its a superb game and from reading your posts you deserve it, very down to earth. Congratulations.
Ype, I think you're an inspiration to everyone on this forum @Machine Rises That said, are you planning to make more games similar to this or something complete different?
Thanks buddy, I do plan on coming out with completely different games for sure. I just haven't had time to work on anything new just yet. But don't worry you guys will be the first to know You can expect something new from me at some point this year that's all I can say for now. Color Switch resulted from a 2-4 hour Thinkertoys session and was generated after several hundred ideas. So I just got to sit down and do it again for my next title.
I met a cute woman playing your game on a train. I said to her, "Hey, I know the guy who made that game. Want to go out sometime?" She gave me her phone number. Lesson: Saying I know @Machine Rises personally, even though I don't, led to a date. Thanks man hehe I still do see a lot of people playing your game. It is pretty cool
Funny thing is, there are people in the forums here who joined this week and who are claiming in PMs to know the team behind Color Switch and are saying that they can teach the strategies used to make and market Color Switch...
Who are these people? Color Switch has so much work behing all the game ..it's not easy to make a game be on the top of AppStore for months.
Past strategy by most has been NOT to do updates to games, just let them run the bell curve of popularity. Color Switch went hyper the other direction, which had to help keep people interested. IMHO
If anyone is lurking around the forums whispering from PM's to you about secret strategies of the Color Switch team I can assure you it's just a phantom and nothing more
