All the mechanics for Numi's Quest are finalized. Here I'm doing a stress test for destructive environments and basic gameplay sounds.
I have a background in audio. I have been thinking about putting together a video tut for mixing audio for games... I can't tell you, and you may have had this experience as well, but I can't tell you how many times I have played a game where some sounds are soft and others are so loud that I have to turn the game down or audio off because they are so unbalanced I can't stand it. That strike sound was a bit biting.
Thanks! I really want to push for destructible enviornments. Will be seeking out a publisher to partner up with for the majority of my projects.
I finally got wall clinging to work correctly (although not as good as Mega Man X, it still does the job.)
I finally nailed down the enemy NPC's for Numi's Quest! Say hello to the Inkies, a symbiotic species of alien that feeds on and destroys sunlight. They search for an endless supply of sunlight; the inkies have invaded Numi's home planet that produces a constant supply of sunfruit.
@VectologyGames I can wait to try this out! I love the artwork, the music, the animations, the story, pretty much everything apart 1 thing . I am just not a fan out Numi's sound effect when he jumps. This is up to you if you want to change it leave it the same but I just though I could tell you my opinion ! Please don't take this the wrong way I can see how much work you are putting in to this and keeping us updated with it so I though I would help you out a bit from my point of view.
Thanks @minibuilder65 for your contribution. I will mix a few different action sounds and create a poll to capture feedback from the forums.
@VectologyGames No problem man, that's why we're here for here for right? Also called constructive criticism
