I spoke with Sean about this previously and thought maybe the "OBJ parser" fix was to address the issue but doesn't look to be. Any idea why when I export an OBJ direct from Tinkercad that it looks the normals are all jacked up? The one on the left was direct from Tinkercad, the one on the right was unwrapped in Blender and then saved again. No textures are applied. When applying a texture to the original Tinkercad model I will get only a sampling of colors from the texture. Almost like it has been stretched out to 100 times its size.
Very cool video. Love learning new stuff with blender! My issue is that I like to make stuff in Tinkercad because it is so fast, especially for simple assets. Tinkercad can export OBJ's but they always look blobby or undefined when imported into Buildbox unless I rework it in Blender. In Unity they import with no problem at all. I'm ok with Blender but when I am hammering out an idea I can sketch things up in Tinkercad much much faster.
@Sean Buildbox @HueTheDev Not sure if this is happening from this version of BB but is definitely a very recent issue, it wasn't happening a few days ago. I'm getting an error message in game saying IAP is not allowed with the current license (I've got the PRO license), just check the attached image.
After importing assets the editor and the preview gets sooooo slow that it's unusable on a 2018 MacBook Pro
Strange, will DM you for more details. Is it possible for you to send me a quick video of the slowdown speed and also your specs? Is it with any assets or just certain ones?
What's going on with this new user name a password for BB3.3 it's not recognizing, yet I can logon to my user account ? Any ideas!
Be careful not to use the user and password from the forum, use it from the main site https://accounts.buildbox.com/account It seems to be a common issue across all users here on buildbox community
It is a new login that replaces the need for license keys for Buildbox 3. It is not the same as your forum or previous logins. It should offer you conversion and registration upon first opening the new update. I will DM you to ensure there are no further issues
Hi Sean, Interesting I could log into my account with my old password in my iphone and I also changed the password but now I can not login with the changed password. Should I signup again? Will that affect my current subscription? Thank you.
It will not affect your subscription. DM me and account difficulty details and I'll help you sort them no problem Please email support@buildbox.com and we'll help you with this
Thought it was fixed but guess not. This is the latest stable version. Also occurs in the beta. Additional note: Is there a way to allow for rotation of the image? It bunches my panties when I have to rotate and resave an image outside of BB for a trail to work properly. I love you guys!
