Hey Guys, So if you've been following me on Twitter, you may already now, but over the weekend I challenged myself to create a game, start to finish, concept to upload, in one working day. I did this just as an experiment, to see how well basic and simple games, that took a day to make, perform compared to those that take weeks and months. Plus I thought it would be fun. Apple are on fire at the moment too. It was in review and published in less than a day. Please remember, this is an experiment and just for fun. I did base it on Voodoo's style at the moment though. Minimal UI, Dark Background, Only Sound Effects. Enjoy Description: Dunk Down is a Super Fun, Bouncey, Arcade Game. Dunk or Die! LOL! @AaroArts I can't believe this! I've done exactly the same thing that you did. I also based the game on Voodoo's style (maybe too much ). Apple also reviewed it and published it in less than a day. My game is live for 5 days now and it has 100+ downloads and I have 1-2$ of revenue. It is a Halloween themed game, so I think that maybe things will be better soon. I know that I could do it better, but I was also on a challenge to finish it in 12 hours.
Awesome. It is certainly fun to put out a quick game here and there. The outcome of this experiment may determine how I continue making games. Good luck with Monster Hoops
It did surprisingly well considering it was made in a day. Earned more than some other games. Imagine if you had the time and creativity to make a different game every day... it may be more profitable than bigger games. Having said that, I’m not sure how often you can upload games until Apple classes it as spamming... I’m sticking to alternating between big games, then quick games and so on.
